Beyond the Basics: Drill & Play | September 21)

This coaching clinic is meant for players with some pickleball experience who are looking to level up with modern mindset & tactics.

The session will be broken down into two distinct topics, and we will blend them together as we close out the session.

Resets: Defensive Defense

There’ll be plenty of times you find yourself on the bottom of the pickleball ‘see-saw’- how you handle those shots to get back to neutral often decides the winner of the rally.

We’ll take you through when to reset, basic prep & execution, and what to do after you make contact with the ball. Then we’ll drill it & play games to help ingrain this skill into your repertoire.

Counterattacks: Offensive Defense

There’s also times where your opponent will attack but you’re already in a good position to enter the fight, and make them pay. What position is this, and how to do this?…..we’ll show you how.

We’ll drill this new skill and play some games to help incorporate it into your next match.

  • Join Paddle Up Solutions for a 90-minute intensive coaching clinic that focuses on return of serve and the fourth shot to maximize your advantage in the rally.

  • This clinic event is for participants who have some pickleball experience (low to mid intermediate skill level; 3.25 to 3.75-ish) and are ready to level up their game.

  • If you don’t have your own paddle, or are in the market for a new one, Paddle Up will have a full selection of Prolite paddles available for your use at no cost.

Women's Pickleball Mixer | September 28, 2026

The pickleball court is our meeting ground; community is our goal.

  • Join Paddle Up to play, connect, and build friendships that move us forward.

  • This mixer event is for social play; participants should have some pickleball experience and be ready to step onto the court as no formal instruction will be provided.

  • This fantastic opportunity is for female players of all levels - beginners included - to connect with each other in a fun and social environment.

This coaching session is meant for players with some pickleball experience who are looking to level up with modern mindset & tactics.

The session will be broken down into two distinct topics, and we will blend them together as we close out the session.

2nd Shot: Return of Serve

The return of serve will either:

a.) establish your team for a strong rally

or

b.) set you up to get beat early

Which would you rather have?

The returning team has the opportunity to keep the servers pinned back at the baseline, but only with the right execution & mindset during the return; let’s learn how that’s done.

We will go through all the options in retuning the serve, then drill it to help you find your returning groove.

4th Shot: Maintain Your Advantage

Believe it or not, in pickleball the returning team starts each rally with the advantage…..you’re not serving, but you are on offense! 

But it’s up to you to maintain this leverage to win the rally; we’ll show you how to do just that with your 4th shot.

We’ll drill this new skill and play some games to help incorporate it into your next match.

Your Questions, Answered

  • You’ll generally be moving within a 10’ x 22’ area, so while you’ll be active, please don’t be intimidated by our Court Connection clinics.

    This isn’t a CrossFit session or anything crazy……more like intermittent low to medium cardio.

  • All we ask is to come dressed in athletic attire, athletic non-marking shoes, and bring hydration of your choice.

    While eye injuries are rare, you may want to bring a pair of protective goggles.

    If perspiration is a thing for you, a towel might be a good option, too.

    Paddle Up will supply all other equipment needed for participation (paddles, balls, nets, etc).

    We will also have a standard waiver for you to sign prior to participating.

  • We keep our classes small to maximize student-to-coach ratio.

    What you won’t experience is sitting in a line hitting a ball every 5 minutes….we focus on immersing you into the game to both ramp you up as soon as possible and get you as hooked as we are as soon as possible.

  • If there’s something we don’t do, it’s taking ourselves too seriously.

    As obsessed with the game as we are, we’re still mostly-normal people who just want to help.
